Truck Maintenance Jr Supervisor

About the role

As a Jr Supervisor in the truck maintenance department at PT SCG Barito Logistics, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise maintenance technicians, and ensure all vehicles meet stringent quality and safety requirements. This position is integral to logistics operations, directly supporting transport and distribution capabilities across the region.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the truck fleet, ensuring they are well-maintained and in optimal working condition

Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and prioritize servicing and repairs

Monitor the performance and utilization of trucks, and identify areas for improvement

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and maintenance regulations

Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary parts and services

Provide training and supervision to the maintenance team, helping them develop their skills and expertise

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to truck maintenance activities

Check the engine and oversee diagnostic tests

Troubleshoot reported truck issues and resolve them in a timely manner

What we're looking for

Bachelor/Diploma Degree in Technical, Engineering, or equivalent qualification

3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and repair

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and address maintenance issues

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the maintenance team and other stakeholders

Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools

Good computer skills

Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines

Good English communication skills
