Associate Application Support Engineer

Job band definition is provide assistance related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of way4 software application programs. This roles is the contact person who would receive and handle support tickets and resolve support-related issues ; provide hands-on technical maintenance or walk users through a troubleshooting and resolution process by phone or through electronic platforms such as real-time.

Responsibilities ;

• High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications
• Provide L1 and L2 support and troubleshooting way4 bugs
• Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
• Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame
• Multitasking skills to assist multiple employees at once
• Observational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problems
• Customer service skills to interact professionally and positively with employees and coworkers

Competencies & Skills:

• Deep understanding way4 environment.
• Very good understanding of Java, Oracle database architecture and technology; knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle DBA activities is a plus
• Possess a strong analytical and logical thinking
• Good understanding of UNIX; ability to manage LINUX virtual machines is a plus.
• Highly accountable for the tasks assigned and ability to keep promises
• Resourceful and self-sufficient
